Hey guys,

As you guys know, i am stuck in AP since july 9th. Since then, no update on ceac website and i sent an inquiry, but they kept giving me more time such as 60 days, 60 to 90 days, or even told me to wait 180 days. Should I visit embassy to open up my case? Should I contact my senator? (Also, they didn't ask me for any additional documents). Any suggestion would help. Thanks

Nothing can be done to expedite an approval from ap.  You can expedite a denial but not an approval

YMMV

Unfortunately, nothing can be done. A visit to an embassy will hardly get you anywhere. And any involvement from anyone outside of the org (such as lawyers, senators, and congresspersons) can not have any say so on a decision as it would open up bribery and tampering issues. Everything involved with cases are tightly controlled. They have to do their jobs completely to ensure everything is sufficient.

Remember, they are dealing with multiple entities...your country, your partner’s country, medical backgrounds, criminal background checks, family history, financial, etc, etc..  All that takes time.

I hope they do not take as long as many people say it will. Your answer makes sense. Thanks!

In case of denial, what could be done?
