Change naturalization appointment date

Hi everyone, 

I just received my naturalization interview! YAY! 
but....The first time I have visited home in 4 years is the week in which they have scheduled it for

If I do as the letter says and send it back and request a new date does anyone have any idea on what the new scheduled interview wait time will be?

I don't want to wait another year for an interview...

If you don't want to wait then just re-book your flight to another day. For re-schedule, it can be another 2-3 month since some office really busy.

Best option is to re schedule your flight to another date.If you request a new date for interview It might take another 2-3months. Congratulations tho!

Thank you for that info. I have tried changing flights and they won’t change or give refund. They said cancel non refundable and purchase a new ticket...

tickets to UK aren’t cheap these days! 

3 months is doable to wait, I just didn’t want to wait another year. Is that possible?

Ya thats true! Flights to UK arent't cheap these days for real. I know of a friend who had to respond to his swearing in due to graduation on same day of sweating in and it took him another 2-4months to get his swearing In and thats for the Virginia Area and they are populated around there. As for interview not sure about it, but do not think it will be another year of waiting. Pick your best shot and go for it. Good Luck.
