Can i ask how much it cost for the civil surgeon to do transcription only and whether medical insurance was needed etc?

We actually cancelled that appointment. After further reading, if the medical was done within a year of submitting the AOS, you don't need them if they're up to date on all vaccinations.

Ah okay. Well Ive just realised that i might need a civil surgeon to fill something in for me. I didn't have all vaccinations at time of medical but i did get the outstanding two done at a pharmacy in the UK before i travelled. I was led to believe that i would just submit my vaccination record from the medical alongside proof of the remaining two being complete (which i have documentation from the pharmacy for each one). Now reading further it seems i have to take this info to a civil surgeon and get them to sign it off on a form which is annoying

Almost everything after k1 is annoying. You think you have most of it all done but it's more paperwork than before. It's frustrating!

That will entirely depend on the civil surgeon. You'll have to call around and see what they charge and IF they will only do a transcription. Medical insurance is not used for it. Be willing to travel some distance if needs be. Ours was 3 1/2hrs away and charged about $35.
