I have an approval from my I-130. I received a notice of approval,  I-797 on 04-05-2019 by mail that my petition is being forwarded to NVC for further processing. It is now 10-21-2019, more than six months later. I still have had no mailings, or any emails from NVC at all. I have no case number either assigned. I sent an email to nvcresearch@state.gov to locate my petition. Presently, I have not received any response from them. I also contacted my state representative in Nebraska as well, Kevin Bacon, no reply as of yet. I also sent a letter to NVC, by snail mail to NVC(National Visa Center); ATTN. WC;  Suite 200; Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915, which has not been replied to either. My husband is angry on me as well, which doesn't help me either. Don't know what to do next. I'm very emotional right now as you can probably understand.

I hope everyone get their notice from NVC & get their Case # too. We got our case # 8 weeks after they received our case. Now we just uploaded our docs after they're offline for more than 1 week. God bless everyone🙏

when did you receive i-797 from USCIS? Did your receipt number start with IOE?

Hey guys....our IOE petition was approved by USCIS on 4/1/19 and I'm very happy to report that its finally been received by the NVC......7 months later.

If you're waiting in limbo like we were, don't lose hope.  Just keep escalating and work the process like others have posted here.  Good luck to you all.

Congrats!! My case was approved on 5/7/19 so I hope this means it will happen for me too...soon! I have already contacted the NVC, USCIS and the congressman several times with no help. Do you think your case was received by the NVC because enough time has passed or do you think it happened because you kept escalating and work the process? I am not really convinced contacting the NVC would help the case anymore...but basically wait until the enough time passes for them to receive the case...

Do we have a choice? Patience isn’t my strong suit but there’s nothing I could do!

Very true, no other option except wait. But I wonder few people reported that they called NVC and they were told that NVC does has database or software to receive IOE petitions from USCIS. So how come they approved it now? By far I've seen only 2 IOE cases received by NVC

It's hard to know, but we were currently about 40 days into a 60 day service request period where a supervisor was reviewing the case.  We never contacted an ombudsman or congressman, but that was next.  Good luck, everyone.

@LarryDay I've been trying to find out how long it actually takes a supervisor to respond to those service requests. I thought the service request would go straight to a supervisor, but after two weeks I received an email saying that the update is that it's now being forwarded to a supervisor. Is your 40 day count from the original day the request was made or is it from that 2 week email mark?
