Any reccommendatins for New York City Medicals?

Hi,

I have to get another medical done in New York City for the AOS. I have been calling around for prices all morning and they range from $100 to $350. I am not sure if they are going to try to make me pay more for additional things like vaccinations that have already done etc.

Has anybody had any experiences, good or bad, with getting the medical exaam done in NYC?

Also will I have to get the chest xray done again? I still have mine from the exam in england back in august 2006.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Your medical from your K-1 visa is good for 1 year, you may only need to do the supplement for vaccinations if your AOS interview takes place before the year is up.

To do vaccination supplement you provide a copy of vaccination record to a civil surgeon for transfer to the supplement. (Fee $10-$40)

Sometimes having a copy of the I-485 instructions handy when visiting the doctor convinces them to just do the supplement.

USCIS/DHS have lost the original medical. Its still good, wherever it is! I am persuing the matter with my local senators office and USCIS but in the mean time i need another medical to get the process moving again.

I called the doctors in London who did the orifginal medical but they dont keep copies.
