Send the evidence to the embassy via Mailboxes Etc. FYI! You have one year to provide whatever they are asking for. Take your time and make sure it is correct! Also, on the US Travel Docs site, there is a section that will tell you how to correctly package your documents for the 221G. There is a cover letter that they say should be used when sending the paperwork in. You’ll find the cover letter form on the same page of the website.

Did they tell you to return the passports with the evidence? If so, send the actual passport of the beneficiary. The visa itself will go on a page of the passport.

No they didn't ask to return the passports, I called the number that is provided on the form, they are basically clueless as how I should proceed. They haven't requested a second interview, but I have a feeling it'll get to that point. I just was confused as to which point they would want the passports if approved after submitting the additional evidence. It would make sense to send it with this RFE, but we'll see what else I can find.

** after reading your link it looks like they do want the passports when we go to MBE...thanks again so much..this is just what we needed. **

But reading the issues you encountered in the past and what you just posted I believe will help us a lot. The same as you, we didn't have the joint banks or anything like that, but i'm going to see if we can open one there at BHD or Banco Popular together. Just to give them everything they want.

I will get that cover letter off the link you gave. Thanks so much.

Thanks for all your help... more or less with the RFE they wanted more documented information so we gave them more than what they asked for and I guess the biggest issue was we didn't notate the photographs correctly on the back with who's in the photos and all that. We got approved and went back and forth to the MBE Store. We had to eventually pick the visa up at the consulate on the 17th, and the visa expired on the 19th because 6 months was approaching for the medical.

Long Story short, 2 canceled flights, an error from the lawyer on the kids permission to leave, running around the capital to fix it and a delayed flight later, we finally passed immigration at 11:50pm with 10 mins to spare before the visa expired.

Thanks for all your help, Now we're just trying to navigate through all of the next phase with the COVID-19 shutdowns. getting the SS# and marriage to get things started is proving to be a bit of a hurdle
