If I'm not mistaken it is only optional to send in three years of tax records, but it is required to send in one year the most current year. So depending on when you file you may only need 2019 tax records. Of course three years worth gives them a better picture to I'll admit to help you or hurt you!

We will file this month so we are going to submit his 2018 tax record which didn't meet the poverty guideline. So for that, we are considering his mother to be our co sponsor.. do you have an idea if what form should we use? Is it form i-864 or i-864a for the co sponsor?

I'm thinking it's the I-864a for family member co sponsors,  but go to the USCIS site to clarify.

Hey Sarge, good to see another May 2018 K1 Filer here.

Yeah, I'm surprised it only took them 2 business days to charge the credit card. Now the wait begins.

@Sarge2155 it's good to see you here. I'm happy you're done with your long k1 journey, hope this one is as fast and as smooth as possible.

In other news, woke up to 3 USCIS texts this morning. Credit card has been withholding the fee since 09/16. Guess that's good news!

Bad ones are my filed office is Kendall, FL :( up to 27 months 😔

For information- its processing time checker if someone doesnt know where to check.

its certainly unfortunate that wait time is increasing every year.

Has any of you had trouble getting SSN? I'm having nightmare experience, everyone is telling me different information, both USCIS and SSA are useless. I applied on 31st July and then again 5th of September (the first application for declined as DHS couldn't confirm me and SSA told me to apply again) and I can't find any info what should I do to get it done. Waiting for EAD or GC might be impossible as I need SSN for my military card and health insurance with it. My husband is deploying in 12 days and this has been hard.

When you submitted the application for your ssn did your name match your I-94 exactly? My husband's I-94 didn't show his middle name, instead it combined his first and middle name as his given name. We filled out the ssn application with his first and middle name as his given name and left the middle name section blank. He got his card in three weeks.

The lady said I'm getting back as mismatched but I do not have any middle names, the way she typed it in was correct.
