@Steph & Nick I thought the same too, seems Dallas is really slow. It’s frustrating

Agreed! Especially seeing those who filed after us already get their EAD approval 😖

Hey all!

My EAD was mailed to me on Saturday. 🎉

I am just curious how long did it take to get your SSN with married name in the mail after you recieved the EAD/AP card.

Hey there! Congrats! I got mine on Friday 😊

I asked my lawyer about SSN and he said that it'd take a few weeks to get it

Not sure if it'll be the same for you, but just saying what I heard 🙂

@Irush93 congrats, I got my ssn a month after I arrived.

Thanks! I actually have an SSN with my maiden name, but you are able to apply for a new one with your married name when you apply for AOS & EAD

My husband's EAD was mailed today, and oddly his SS card showed up before it. Interview next week!

Our interview will be in 3 weeks. Is it still okay to wait for EAD

I feel like we'll get our GC's first then the EAD/AP? Can anyone give us some insight on this?

What happens to the EAD/AP card once approved and AOS gets approved?
What happens to the EAD/AP card status (not approved) after AOS gets approved?

I could be wrong, but if you have the EAD/AP card before your interview, if you are approved for the green card then the EAD/AP card is no longer valid once you receive the green card.

If you are approved for your green card and were still waiting for the EAD/AP card then that just vanishes. No need for that if you have a green card.
