We received one of those special gifts as well. "EAD card is being processed". Next week when we get down from Georgia we will be preparing docs for the AOS interview and checking the mailbox. September sfilers seem to be coming in!

Did you ever see the status of Approved online or did you just log in today and suddenly saw the status had changed to card being produced?  Just curious as we are about two weeks behind you but haven't seen any status changes since the bio appointment back in October.

Just wanted to give you an update. So on December 23 it said card was being produced. Well yesterday both the AP and EAD changed to approve. Sounds like it should be the opposite way.

For all those who are waiting for their interview or EAD- I am watching and tracking several cases on multiple site. Based on my observation, EAD and interview usually runs simultaneouly. Usually EAD notice is right after interview notice or vice versa. 4-5 months is average time for most EAD or interview notice. Hopefully it helps to people still waiting  and hope that everyone get their EAD or interview soon.

Just noticed that the EAD card is being produced as of this morning. As others have noticed, the travel document receipt number still says case was received, while the employment authorization status says card is being produced.

Our Timeline:

Field Office - Charlotte, NC

AOS Packet Sent: 09/03/19

AOS Packet Received: 09/05/19

NOA 1: 09/27/19

Biometrics Done: 10/05/19

EAD Card is being Produced: 12/23/19

Status yesterday changed to both AP and EAD approved and today changed to EAD card was mailed. Now, wondering when we will hear anything about when the case will be ready for the interview. Not sure if there is a co-relation between the EAD/AP and the Interview notice. Seems many September filers in this thread (particularly in NY and CA) got their interview notices very quickly.

We are happy to get the EAD in a little under 4 months because our interview wait time is almost up to 2 years at our local office. We are actually hoping our interview doesn’t get scheduled until almost the 2 year mark because I believe that means we can skip the ROC process (I could be wrong on that assumption). So we are probably one of the only couples not rushing this process lol. We are like take your sweet time since my wife can now work and travel anyway.
