I am an October filer and I just received the same update and I have the same questions. I did not find too much info on Google though. The day after my biometrics were done, my case updated to "Fingerprints completed" and today I received the same update as you. I read somewhere that after such an update your EAD may take forever to be approved. I hope it's not true :(.

Am October filler also I went for my biometrics on 10th and the status show finger print is completed for form 1-485 and EAD but today now it changed to  finger print related to your form 1-485 is attached to your case. I checked for my EAD still remain your case is recieved nothing like finger print.

Hi, have you received any update as to why the status changed to fingerprints were taken and the date didn’t change? Thank you

I don't  think we should speculate and anticipate bad news, since sooooo many people me included got that same update today, I would submit it's  actually a valid status and NOT a glitch. Maybe it means exactly what is says fingerprints were attached to the case and they are getting ready to adjudicate our cases. Let's just ride this out until we get more details. If it is a glitch I'm sure it will be discovered and or work itself out. In the meantime try to chill.

Perhaps we could go to January  2019 AOS filers and look there. If it happened in earlier months I submit its NOT glitch!

I think the USCIS had a systems-wide update where they changed what text they would display. I wouldn’t worry about it. Seems a lot of people got the same notification.

Good explanation and very possible in either case you are right we should not worry to much about it.

Just checked and our case was changed yesterday to "ready to be scheduled" it had been on "response to RFIE received" since the 25 of November so I was starting to sweat it.

Same for me.  In viewing posts it has happened to many of us.  I think all is fine but it sure woke me up a little.

Throwing in our hat in the ring as well -- On October 5th our status said that "Fingerprint review was completed" and last night (Dec. 13) it changed to the "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" that a lot of people here were also subject to

How long did it take those of you who got interview scheduled to receive your interview dates in the mail?

A week. It's Christmas season so it might take some time. Sign up for Informed delivery with USPS if you haven't already.

I think it depends on your local office on how long it takes to get an interview date. They don't issue a date until they are ready for you. If you got a fast local office then you receive your date fast  and vice versa. So I'd  say it depends.
