And of course it was (NOA1) in the mailbox just an hour ago.

Thanks all for the moral support.

I had my biometrics appointment on: 10/11/2019

when would I likely get my AP & EAD

Thanks

You might want to update your time kinda hard to answer that question, but it depends on your location sometimes. If you update your time line VJ will give you a estimated time frame.

Update your timeline and VJ should send you an email with approximate time for your EAD and AP (at least they did that for me). EAD and AP are process I think in one center but I read somewhere on here that apparently they process them faster for people whose filling offices are crazy busy. Not sure if that's true though. My email said I should received mine on 15th of February.

Got an e-mail at 4:02AM EST from USCIS indicating that the status has been changed to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed".  This is less than 24 hours, since out biometrics was at 1PM EST yesterday (10/17/19).  Hooray!  Hoping everything continues to be smooth for us and all of you!

According to the VJ estimate, it says February 20th for us. We are hoping it is sooner, because my wife's old job that she had when she was on her J1 visa wants her to come back to work for them as soon as possible.

In that case I would look into expedite the EAD as I saw people here on VJ getting their EAD expedite for reason that they had job offers. Worth trying to Google it!

I know, but we want to wait our turn like everyone else. We knew what we signed up for when we did the K1. We do not think we are better than anyone else and do not want any special treatment. We will wait in line.

Even with a SSN card in her maiden  name we have run into hassle  after hassle. I can add her to some things but only in her maiden name the name on the SSN card. I was only able to add her to my insurance at work. A few utility Bill's and being a beneficiary on my life insurance polices using her married  name. The bank would not even use the married name they would  only use the name on the SSN card. Big hassles big time. So once her EAD comes in I can change all starting with her SSN. I could not even add her to my military benefits using her married  name, I had to add her under her maiden name. This is Texas by the way.

We were lucky to get a permit here in Texas with the expiration date of the i94. But we were ok with that , since it helped us to open a bank account and add his name to several bills.

That's  very good. Hey take a look at your time line,  if you have time to update it please do as we don't know if you are a AOS filer or not.
