So, does it means the appointment time doesn't matter?

It didn't in my case. Mine was in Santa Rosa, CA. There was just 1 person before me. We got there pretty early because we live 4 hours away so we wanted to make sure we wouldn't be late.

We sent ours USPS. I think it varies from which location. I've sent it to Chicago from San Francisco. still nothing heard back or check hasn't been cashed yet. sent 9/12, received 9/14. It's exactly 2 weeks now. Hoping to hear from them this coming week :)

We also sent our USPS (only choice here in Wrangell, Alaska) on 9/13. Got receipt postcard on 9/23. No other signs of life yet.

I have read some USCIS centers will let you walk in early and others will not.

Hey everyone! Joining this thread as I mailed my AOS package Sept. 5th and it took exactly 3 weeks to get my NOA. I saw several people get theirs within days so I was freaking out but they eventually came. Thought I'd share my timeline as I saw others with similar wait times too so you're not alone!

  • Package sent USPS: 09/05
  • Package delivered: 09/07
  • NOA I-765 received: 09/28 but case dated 09/09
  • NOA I-131 received: 09/28 but case dated 09/09
  • NOA I-485 received: 09/28, case dated 09/26
  • Cheque cashed: 09/30

Crazy how much longer my I-485 took than the other two 🤷‍♀️

Don't  sweat it this new week is the week!

Look out your window for the asteroid about to hit the planet.  This morning I see our check has been cashed.  So anybody who has mailed their stuff in during the first half of September?  If I am now in the pipeline you're a sure thing to be there shortly as well.  Trust me on this one.

No texts, no email, no NOA letter yet but something should be coming shortly.  At least the NOA letter in the next week or so.

@Greenbaum

another question guys, my husband filed tax with his ex wife last 2016, in the I 864 form the total income that we need to write is his total income excluding his ex wife right? because they filed together at that time. thank you
