My wife just received her biometrics letter in the mail for October 10th.

Our timeline very similar. I m expecting RFE though for birth certificate. I send secondary evidence for birth certificate. So let’s see how it goes.

Did you mail yours in USPS?  That's how mine was sent in.  Sent 9/13, received 9/16.  No text, email or check cashed yet.  I heard (after the fact) sending via USPS can add up to a week to the processing time.  I am not sure if this is true though.  If true it makes me wish I went the FEDEX route.

We sent ours USPS. I think it varies from which location. I've sent it to Chicago from San Francisco. still nothing heard back or check hasn't been cashed yet. sent 9/12, received 9/14. It's exactly 2 weeks now. Hoping to hear from them this coming week :)

My wife already took her biometrics from her country and submitted it.. wondering if that plays an affect to the process.

Everybody needs to do biometrics again after filing for AOS.

The kids needs to be mentioned. They're part of his household.

For 4 people, that's the poverty line (125%):

With the expanded guidelines effective  October 15th it's  going to be easier for a adjudicating officer to deny a case based on public  charge. Simply put if the adjudicating officer "thinks or feels" you will be a public charge in the future after weighing all the facts  they can deny you.

4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 3 days

Citizenship Complete!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

We don’t know how this is going to affect anyone or how adjudicating office will respond to financial of application and beneficiary. May be it won’t be as bad as we are thinking it is. People who are sitting in USCIS more than 90 percent of them are either immigrants or ancestors of immigrants. They been there n they have seen it, so Let’s think positive.

I would refer to this link for poverty guideline: https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

I would think that your husband need to include his 2 children from first marriage in the household size count. So looking at the website, it looks like your husband needs $32,187 for a family of 4.

Hope this helps.
