Hi Everyone,

The app changed to "interview scheduled. We will mail you a notice" and it's been about 16 days now. I was wondering if I should be concerned. I have not received a letter yet. I know typically they schedule a month out or so...

This would be in the san francisco bay area office, not sure how things would be affected with a new lockdown here.

Received my Green Card in the mail today. After almost two years, my journey of waiting for my gc has come to an end. I have become a permanent resident od the US as of Dec 2,2020.

I wanna use this opportunity to wish all those waiting for their green card or EAD best of luck.

The process is frustrating but never give up on hope, for your moment will surely come.

I will still hang around and I know most of us will cross path in 3 years time if all things been possible.

Once again best of luck to those waiting.

Congratulations to you!

I think there's still a fair few, especially for the Sacramento field office, they seem to be processing sooooooo slow!!! 😬🤪

Yup you’re right 😬😬😬 Sacramento field office here. Haven’t heard anything from them since April 2020 lol. My status updated last April that my interview will be scheduled but until today no update received 🥺 Now I have to renew my EAD/AP.

Can anyone point me towards the ROC guide or discussion?  I want to see what we would need in case we need to start any other accounts/utilities.

Go down  to the ROC threads. Much information to be had is there.

I wanted to share some pointers for those still waiting on the interview:

-Bring everything you have submitted to USCIS, especially anything for AOS/EAD/AP.
-The letter will tell you what other things you could bring that are new or add-ons to the existing application, bring as much as you are able.
-Do a wedding/picture album. It doesn't need to be professional, just one that would show that especial day and the progression (chronological order) of the relationship after marriage.
-Dress professionally - first impression counts!
-Bring lawyer or interpreter in person if you have/need it - DO NOT have them on-call by phone, even during COVID times.
-Leave your phones in the car if possible.
-If the officer seems strict/rude at first, just continue to be polite and explain things as needed (i.e. "kill them with kindness"). Do not get defensive, they are just doing their jobs and some of them may use this tactic as a test to check you are legit (remember: the more defensive you get, the more it seems like you have something to hide). As a frequent international flyer, this seems to be true throughout the whole immigration system (and I am a USC - it has happened to me while traveling).

We actually got that status within 24 hours of the interview.  After posting the question, we got an e-mail saying the card was mailed already today (not even a week).

Timeline

yesterday we received the green cards for wife and children. I've updated my timeline so everything is there, but in short our April 9th interview was rescheduled, moved to Nov 18.

Verbally on the spot they advise me that we passed, but some of the paperwork was not sent down from USCIS to the local office where we interviewed, hence we had to wait till everything was received. About a week ago the status changed to approved and within a week the cards were produced/mailed and eventually received safely yesterday.

Living so close to the Canadian border, now we can finally think about taking a winter vacation :)

it was a long journey for all of us, I wish everyone best of luck with their new spouse/family :)
