Calling all experts!  @Sarge2155 and @Greenbaum:

Our interview is within a week from now and here is where we are at:

We don't have utility bills because my parents live with us (I own the house because I inherited from them but the bills remain under their names while they are alive).  So, I am focusing on bringing the bank information that shows we did open an account together, our IRS taxes from 2019 that we filed jointly, my verification of employment letter, his employment letter, my stubs, all of our insurance cards (dental, medical, and vision), our rings insurance that shows both of us, snip from TMobile showing there is a second line to his name (even though the account is under my name), our Disney contract that we had for a year together for annual passes, and a new credit card we got together (we just got this so he can get more credit and be able to be added to more accounts in the future for the ROC) - which we will just copy the two cards showing they both go to the same account but with his name and mine, etc.  Then, the obvious wedding album, pictures from the last year, and cards we have written on special occasions.  We are also planning to have some of my coworkers, friends, and family members write letters of how they have seen our marriage develop and grow over the last year - after submission.

@Sarge2155 is the expert here as he just went through this process. I did mine about five years ago and I am not up to speed if there have been any changes or additions to the process. I wish Gods speed and blessings.

@Fe.Ta

You can't  give them what you don't  have. What you have listed looks sufficient with the exception of the letters from your friends.  I would not include those as you can get anyone to write those and they hold little weight IMO. I would prepare a written explanation of all the things you listed here that you do not have. Just be prepared to accurately discuss those things should they ask you. You'll be fine!!!!

So, a letter from me explaining that we haven't switched over because my parents are still alive and, thus, utilities are to their names would be better?  I have proof of the title transfer (that shows my parents transferring ownership as inheritance and not sell/buy).  Maybe that with the letter is sufficient?

So, I called USCIS to see what's happening with the AP, just to make sure it doesn't create issues in the ROC stage to having a missing case.  Apparently, their answer is that, even though the EAD and AP were delivered in the same envelope, to the same office, etc., it can still have a different receipt and approval date range.  However, it has been over a month and no receipt.  Definitely, not helpful.  My husband wasn't available so they couldn't give me more detailed information.  Will try to ask at our GC interview to see if they would be able to give me more information.

Timeline

I had my interview today between 1:30pm to 2:00pm mountain time.

My husband and I were allowed to go inside uscis 15 minutes to our interview time.

So the officer was a lady.

My husband was called first together with our immigration lawyer. After about 13 minutes later I was called to come in and my hubby was asked to leave the interview room.

The officer asked me to take an oath to tell the truth. After that the oath, she ask me to mention my legal name, asked of my DoB, my parents full name, where I was born, and when I arrived in US. Then, she went through the I-485 application questions (the yes and no questions) with me.

She asked if there are any redflags in my marriage.

Afterwards, she ask me to talk to her about my marriage life.

She asked where and when I met my hubby for the first time, asked if I have met my hubby's family members, places we have visited, which pet we have and its name, where we both work and how we go to work.

She later said she is going to do her reviews. But talk about 10 years green card since my marriage is over 2years.

So in all my interview went well and according to my immigration lawyer, he said the officer was looking for reasons to approve me. So i did well.

I meant a letter explaining all the perceived shortcomings you listed. Ideally these would all be in your head and you'd  be able to explain IF asked.

Had an update today that says "New Card Is Being Produced" finally going to receive my GC by next week after a long wait.

To all those waiting, I know that the wait is frustrating, especially when some people who submitted their cases after yours are getting updates and their cases being processed,

Just hang in there and be hopeful.

I wish all those waiting best of luck to get their cases processed fast.

It says bring originals and copies of what was submitted for AOS.  Does that mean I have to bring a separate copy of the original affidavit of support on top of the originals? 😕

Also, do I need a cover letter for what I am taking?

If you did submit affidavit of support during the application time, then i think you should be good.

USCIS mailed my green card.

When do I get the tracking number or there is no tracking number to track my card?
