If you use the old website, you can check right away.

To check on the new website, you need the online access number that you will also receive in the mail.

Sorry I know I had this at one point, but can someone provide me with the link to the old website I tried googling but no joy 😅

Ahh I was actually using the old one and not the new one in the first place 😅 I had to reset my phone a while back and my Google authentication app didn't store my verification info so I've been locked out of the new site, until I call them to reset it, which never felt like a priority, as I could check the info on the old one. However after applying for my EAD/AP renewal the NOA I received has a IOE ref, but on inputting either of them I get this message

Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

  • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 or send an email to uscis.webmaster@uscis.dhs.gov."
OK

Oh I see.

I use the app Case Tracker, which supposedly uses the old site, and it's working with the IOE case numbers.

That's the thing - I get the same error, no matter if I try to see the case status in the old way, new way, case tracker app, myuscis etc - there's always either the error (receipt number not recognized) or I need the access code.

@Ayrton did you receive the online access number for these cases yet? Was it a separate letter (separate from the NOAs)?

I really hope the green cards will start being processed soon..

Yes, the online access code came in the mail one or two days after I received the NOAs.

Yeah I got my online access code a few days after too.

I called them today to reset my online access and enable the authentication app.  Once done when I input my two receipt numbers and online access code, both receipts showed up 🎉🎉🎉

theoretical question: what if we don't extend the EAD and get an interview scheduled some time in the future after the EAD has expired ?

Wife is not working...so it's just about the legal presence in the USA.

EAD is not evidence of legal presence. But it might be the only ID she has. Most driver's license also expires at the end of the EAD.

There's no reason to not file for renewal.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anybody could chime in, I just wanted to double-check. I'm still waiting for my interview and adjusting from F-1. My EAD/AP card is expiring in february 2021 and I'm in the 180 days mark.

Is this checklist right for the renewal packet?

- G-1145

- (New I-765 and I-131 application?)

- Copy of I-797C, NOA - Receipt of I-485

- Front and back of EAD/AP card

- Passport,Visa and i-94

- 2 or 4 passport photos?

Is this going to the chicago office or a different one? I'm assuming no fees have to be paid?

Thank you.

Yes it goes to the chicago lock box, I sent 4 photos as I read it as two for each form so aired on the side of caution but someone more in the know might be able to correct me and it may indeed be only 2

Hey guys, just wanted to share an update. My EAD (new card being produced) and AP (approved status) renewal just got approved today. I applied early July 2020

Wow. That was fast.

Did you receive a letter stating they would reuse your biometrics? I didn't receive that. I only received both NOAs and a letter with the USCIS online access code. The status online also doesn't mention anything about biometrics.
