Hi everyone, I have been selected for 2020 dv lottery and I have a question regarding my ds 260 form.

exact question is : "Are you a graduate of a foreign medical school seeking to perform medical services in the United States but have not yet passed the National Board of Medical Examiners examination or its equivalent? "

option: yes/no

so what to write and why?

as I have graduation certificate from my  home country, I can not perform medical service in USA . If I choose yes, I'm not eligible to perform medical servise in Usa yet. so they will ask for explaination. if no, it's contradictory to other info given in the form.

Please help me out. those who are doctors/health care providers.

no,  you have to be both from a qualified medical college and have passed the Boards here / so answer is NO

many come and have to take classes here to qualify for even taking the boards / depends on the country and university you graduated from

An example of why

in morocco only 2 years of college are needed to be a doctor and here it is 8 years

It doesn’t matter for your visa what you answer because DV doesn’t require labor certification. The correct answer is yes and at interview if they ask just say you’ll get the certification once in the US before you practice.

Presuming that you are not a graduate of a medical school in the US or in Canada, you just need to answer whether you have not yet passed the national board of medical examiners (eg, all three steps of USMLE) or its equivalent.

If you have not passed the national board of medical examiners or its equivalent, your answer is yes.

If you have passed the national board of medical examiners or its equivalent, your answer is no.
