You can try Kaiser Permanente (they do have a facility in DFW Metroplex).

GoldenRule (United Healthcare) will give you somewhat more choice of physicians than Kaiser

You can also try Universal Insurance Services to find a package.

That's no good; so far I have not been able to find a company willing to cover someone who has not been an LPR at least 12 months.

HA you might want to get copies of your husbands medical records before you leave, sometimes Health Insurance companies here want them to check for pre-existing conditions and it will be easier to get them while you are still in the UK.

I'm looking for a new insurance for us, catastrophic only until hubbie enrolls us in Tricare which might be still 6-9 months from now. Anyway, I'm a LPR for 6 months now. You got me worried here...

But I haven't found such a thing on ehealthinsurance.com nor my MIL who will find something for us (she's an insurance agent) said something about such a restriction. And she knows, she was an immigrant herself and she also found my brother in law's girlfriend health insurance who is here on a F1, no LPR. Maybe that is only with some companies like that?

I just noticed: the OP is seeking short-term insurance, so maybe there are restrictions opposed to none with catastrophic insurance/normal health insurance. I just read some stuff on the OP's link and I read that for short-term you need to be a citizen. That might be it....

Someone asked about US Netcare recently. All I could find about them other than what's at their site is a press release indicating that they're a fairly new company. They're open to non-US citizens, including immigrants.

What would be wrong with using different insurance companys--suchas fortis(through Universal Insurance Svcs) for HA and US_Netcare (or another such) for her husband?
