And our case had been created with the NVC already. Logged in. Just need to pay fees so we can get started

Anyone get an RFE and then approval? If so how long did it take to process the RFE?

I have the same issue. Which number are you calling? I always get an automated message and have to talk to a robot. I've not even been given account details to log into the NVC website to check a status of anything. Have you gotten anything in the mail from the NVC yet?

My application was sent to the NVC and approved on May 5th, but I'm not sure what to do after this? Are we just playing a waiting game? Does anyone know if we can get things prepared ahead of time and when the mail from NVC comes in then anything needed can be sent ASAP.

I sent an inquiry to NVC so I recommend you do the same rather than wait. NVC responded to my inquiry and asked that I email my approval letter because they hadn't received anything from USCIS. I sent that on Wednesday, so I'm back to waiting to hear from them but at least now I can safely guess something is being done

You will probably get this generic reply from them. 

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of State found an error in your case that prevented its transfer to the National Visa Center (NVC) in a timely manner.

 

We are working with USCIS to correct the error so that we can receive your case information. If you do not receive your NVC Welcome Notice within 30 days, please contact us again.

 

It's frustrating USCIS messed up the transfer of case, who knows how long they take to fix it.

By error do they mean an error in our case or error made by them? 

This reply made me a little worried

Error made by USCIS, I assume. They wouldn't approve it in first place if there was any error in the application.

Yeah I think so too because they mentioned that they are working to fix that error, which means it’s something on their end

I wouldn't have ever imagined this phase will take this long especially when some others get their welcome emails same day they get approved

Almost everyone get it within 1 day. Even the cases that are not ioe are getting it in 60 days max
