You still need to file taxes. Just do it anyways, submit proof with a tax return, and send a letter with explaining why you did not also submit a W-2. Do you have a joint sponsor?

I need some help..

My father has to fill the 864 or 864A?

He will have to be our sponsor

You will have to fill out the i-864 and here is the guidelines for your father: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-4-collect-financial-documents.html

Scroll down and expand both "complete an affidavit of support form" and "obtain financial evidence"

There you can read all categories and figure out what you need to submit.

Please note, if your father or yourself are married filing jointly on his taxes you/he MUST submit W-2's along with Tax transcripts or tax returns

Also if you or your father is using income from other household members (like a spouse) to qualify for the income requirement, you must have those applicable household members sign an i-864A form.

Thank you.

It turns out I don't have a joint sponsor.

My father will be it.. actually 2018 he didn't make much and we have two younger siblings.  he collects social security also.

Can some people on here pray for me 🙏🏼. I hope it'll work.

I'm from not a wealthy family and I didn't work.

Hi everyone!

Original submission 8/20/2019

We got reviewed last night 9/25/2019

2 rejections:

-one for tax return and w2 to be in separate file (kind of expected this, but learned about it too late);

-Canada police cert was wrong.. we missed the whole "purpose should now be under privacy Act instead of visa processing border crossing)

Just giving everyone a heads up!

Will update timeline once we get the new police cert

Best of luck to all!

Have you checked to see if he makes the income requirement? I recommend finding another sponsor if not.

I'm not 100% sure when if comes DCF, but we needed a joint sponsor because my husband did not make enough. He still had to submit forms and financial evidence as a sponsor. Please do you research before you submit anything to avoid costly delays.
