In Mumbai consulate, interview dates are available within 36 days for non-immigrant category. So for immigrant category the availability should be close to that. Your case would see some light by Oct half. If everything goes fine your interview will be scheduled in Dec.

Thank you for the info.  For non-immigrant visa, it used to be only 9-10 days in July/August and there are lot of people here waiting since May CC for the interview. I hope your words are true and we get the interview in December.

hello everyone

USCIS case approved.... 21 july

NVC received Case..... 30july

got NVC case number ... 21 August

submitted fees on the same day and status showed paid on 24 august

on August 24 we submitted all the financial and civil documents.

on 26 august i got email from nvc .... one of my civil document was rejected due to its orientation and all other documents got accepted and have green ticks.

It has been three weeks since we are waiting for that one document to turn the status from submitted to accepted. i hope will hear about it soon...

Hi I resubmitted one of my documents on the same day as yours August 26. Hopefully we will get case complete soon or within next week. It seems like resubmitted documents taking 3-6 weeks from what I have saw on here and Facebook group.

Well after all my whining and complaining my documents were checked about an hour ago, they all got accepted and I'm Case Complete/Documentarily Qualified. They were originally submitted on the 11th of August.

Quick question about the sponsor. I meet the income requirements for my approved I 130.  However, I did not have an income for the year 2016 and at that time I did not know that I can file a tax return with 0 income, so I was dependent in my relative's tax return. Since I-864 form asks for the last three years income, should I file with a joint sponsor to be on the safe side or should I explain my situation for the year 2016. I could not decide. Were there anybody in the same situation and got the visa without a problem?

@pushbrk any idea? Thanks!

In the available space for 2016 tax figure, hand write, "Not required to file."

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Today I received actual physical letter (welcome letter?) from NVC with Case Number and Invoice Number. I thought that now everything was online, just wondering as I have not seen anyone mentioning physical letter in  the forum. I have already submitted all documents today.
