follow up from my previous post.

i just called the nvc and talked to a really nice lady, she explained that the change in status to accepted on the CEAC website just represented them having removed my old cosponsor and acknowledged that i've changed to a new cosponsor.

she checked my documents and told me that it seems like we've submitted all the necessary documents so we'll just have to wait for the final review and if it's all in order we'll be documentarily qualified.

a little bit of false hope, but i think it won't be much longer of a wait for dq. hope that clears up any confusion.

be steadfast!!

Does USCIS pass along all of the bonifide proof of marriage I submitted to the NVC? And then does the NVC keep and send all that proof to the CO at the local embassy where the interview is done? just wondering if i need to duplicate proof at the NVC stage.

I am at a Case Complete waiting for our Interview Letter, and I did not send any more bona fide proof of marriage for the NVC stage. The conclusion I came to was, bring stuff to the interview unless something big has happened like you had a kid together or a second wedding ceremony with the other person's family. This thread below does suggest maybe sending in more evidence if you are from a high fraud country.

Here's the thread about it -

The NVC must be working late because we just got our DQ email a few minutes ago! Finally! Our final submission was on July 27 so it took over 6 weeks for them to review it. Geez.

What's weird, though, is that they have added 2 more tags in Civil Documents requesting my husband's photograph which was already accepted back in May and one of his police reports which was already accepted back in July. This happened to us before back in June and the woman I spoke to at the NVC said it was a software glitch - not surprised since the website they use for CEAC is ancient and very clunky. Anyone else experience that? Not sure what to do with it since we already got the DQ email but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this situation

I experience it and it set me back four months every time I send the documents they accept them then a month later they refused one of the one they already accepted.

Good evening, I just submitted my AOS packet along with my IV app and required docs today. I’m a little concerned now because I was a little too excited to submit that I didn’t wait for my spouse to send a scanned document needed, instead I forwarded a screenshot of it that was in my photos. Will they accept that? Also can anybody tell me the chances of an interview in November?

Depends on the documents. Sometimes a edge missing from a scan on a birth certificate has been rejected as I read.

Why not do it right the first time. That way they don't ask you to resubmit delaying you potentially weeks. Where if you can have you wife scan and send it to you you'll just delay a day or two.

Ugh :( Sorry to hear that.  Are you DQ now?

I called the NVC today to confirm that we actually are DQ despite the portal saying 'Incomplete' for Civil Documents and the nice lady there said that we are all set and are in the queue for an interview. She said it was another software glitch and apologised for it and said to not submit anything else. Thank goodness!

Hey guys! We got DQ 2 hours ago - most unexpected and pleasant surprise!

😃

First and only submition - August 11

Documents I, the petitioner uploaded:

- i-864EZ

- IRS tax transcript 2018

- W2 2018

- 2 most recent paystubs

Documents the beneficiary uploaded:

- birth certificate

- scanned passport

- police certificate

- marriage certificate

- digital photo

All documents were PDFs.

We followed the advice given in this and previous thread. Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Hey friends! I got an RFE from the NVC just now.

I totally screwed up one document. I did not realize my joint sponsor's PDF of his tax transcript had his w-2's attached to it. GO OVER ALL OF YOUR FORMS !

I re-submitted and hoping to hear back within the next few weeks.

Other than that, there was zero mention of my joint sponsor's spouse (married filing jointly) to fill out an i-864a, but I'm going to have her do so and I'll bring the original to my interview when the time comes (there is a massive backlog in Canada right now- around a 6-7 month wait for an interview after DQ/CC.)

For those of you who are in similar shoes, there is hope!

Scanned passport means front and last pages?

Congrats!
