It's so crappy how people who submitted in September are getting a word back from NVC. Meanwhile 2nd submission pf documents was on 08/21 for me and still nothing yet.

At this point I think it's easier for me to get citizenship in Guatemala rather than my husband getting his green card here. Such BS.

From every indication, the second review takes longer than the first.

Stay patient!

Good news is on the way

My first took almost 6 weeks. I think it's just how things are piling up and potential causing a backlog. If only that had clear examples of what wasn't accepted, such as incomplete scans etc. In my case they asked for an additional document that wasn't even listed.

Please make sure that your timeline is up to date. This helps the VJ community. People are more likely to respond to someone with up-to-date timeline and it also helps them to give appropriate feedback based on where are you in the process.

Anyways, have you recieved case number?

Have you submitted DS-260, AOS and all required civil and tax documents?

If you have received the case number, login to your account and make sure that your email address is correct.

In our case, the applicants birth certificate was rejected because they wanted to see the edges of the document.

Wonder what the importance of such a request is when all the significant portions of the document are clearly visible.

Well...only they know what they are looking for.

I guess with this whole process, surprises are to be least unexpected.
