It is still unfair tho to put us behind just cause the fiscal year is about to end and they need to finish other categories. Isnt there supposed to be a quota for each category every month? Montreal issued 6CR1 and 10IR1 last July. Unbelievable!

@Parcaran I think for F category Montreal it’s not 15yrs. I’m not sure but I think I’ve seen timelines less than 5?

I default to empathy because I struggle with self compassion. I know how you feel and deep down I’m feeling the same, I just have a hard time verbalizing my frustration in a healthy way. This process start to end has burned me out.

sorry if what I said made you feel invalidated. It’s not my intention

Overall tho f type are still family visas. Husbands, wives, parents, children. Difference is citizenship status and if we look at that, us saying we should get priority is entitlement. I’m guilty of that myself

when I say 15, I’m speaking to what I know which is Mumbai. We all have our own journey and way of getting here and can’t truly compare to someone else. It’s a lon arduous road regardless.

No worries 😉 I agree with you. Every family deserves to be together but it’s just not fair. No wonder lots of people want to go the illegal way because of what they are doing. ☹️

I was cleaning and cooking trying to distract myself 😅

CC means Documentarily qualified ie NVC received all our documents

Priority date is when we submitted the case to USCIS(united states citizenship and immigration services)

F3 means Family Sponsored category 3 (us citizen filling for married son or daughter)

@Yannary & others waiting for London embassy: I called NVC on Friday and they told me that London is full for September. October interviews were not scheduled yet. Obviously, they are still waiting for embassy to send them available dates.

I was approved on 30 August and we were hoping that I'd be able to make it for step daughter's birthday. That's why I called NVC...

Thanks :) One more question - For Montreal cases does NVC accept documents by uploading them on CEAC or you have to email or mail them? On CEAC it says you can upload documents if your leter says "You can begin online processing now" but mine doesnt say that.

For us we uploaded everything on CEAC. We are CR1/IR1 🤗

HI,

Does anyone know how  long it takes to get that Green Card after you reach the United States especially in California.

My husband POE was San Francisco on june 30, 2019. But he has been waiting for Green Card. Already paid the GC fee before reaching to the US.

Anyone waiting for GC for more than 2 months in California??
