Yup- new one is both English and Arabic on the same page. We uploaded the Arabic version and they didn’t like it.

Even if it's translated right? What if we aren't in Egypt, now we have to book a flight just for a birth certificate? 😢

I know! It’s ridiculous. They don’t like the translated version.. apparently you can pay more and tell them it’s for immigration and they will give you the right one.. classic egypt 😂😂 luckily, my parents were there and got the right ones.. I find the egyptian embassy useless and lazy!

They are extremely lazy, I agree, we can not get it from the Egyptian embassy here right, even paying them extra? This has to be issued from Egypt itself.

Didn’t try the egyptian embassy here.. but I’m sure they won’t make it easy.. their main objective is to complicate things.. but I heard from my friends that it took them 2 months to get a birth certificate from the egyptian embassy ( ny). If you have someone in Egypt, they can get it the same day.

😕 thank you, sorry I asked all these questions.. Also the Egyptian PCC was rejected, we got it from the Egyptian embassy in dubai then shipped it to Egypt to get the no conviction stamp. Your pcc was OK?

You know , the wait would be ok if they give us a timeline... like hey.. if your case is not done by this date call us or something... but I feel like we are flying blind...

I agree but who listens to this!

Actually they don't care!

Hey Nody, have you gotten the police clearance from Egypt? Was it accepted? I was wondering if I could see how it looks like. They rejected the one we uploaded, we got it from the Egyptian embassy here and got the not convicted stamp from Egypt with all the accurate notarization.

Hey @Ramar1

Here's a pcc like the one I uploaded and got it translated at the ministry of justice!

Yes it was accepted! That was in April!

I never heard there's a new bilingual police clearance! I know the bilingual birth and marriage certificates!

Yea

, my husband's looks different, picture in the middle and finger print in the back. Just heard about the bilingual birth certificate, guess that's why his was rejected too. If he travels to Egypt, do you know how long it takes for either certificate to be generated?

The finger print in the back is the old one!

The PCC he can get it the next day then he could go to the ministry to translate it and he will get the translation on the same day!

The bilingual birth certificate on the same day, in 10 minutes!!

It's from Abbaseya "the building of civil documents.. 3rd floor , translation section" . It costs 150 EGP

He should have his mother's full name in English like her passport!
