Congratulations on the arrival of your daughter and approval of your visa. Im sorry you missed the delivery.

Two questions:

1) How long did it take them (embassy) to respond to your expedite request?

2) How did you access a calendar to reschedule appointment? That's similar to K1 process and you could grab a closer one when/if someone rescheduled. Do you access the same option when you get your interview letter and sign up for the portal?

Thank you..!!

1) It took 1 week for NVC to respond saying that they are sending it to the embassy and it is upto them to accept or not,

then it took another 1 week for embassy to approve. I guess over all from sending email for expedite to getting approval email, it took 17 days.

2) I believe it is the same process. On the scheduling page left side top, there is an option to reschedule the appointment. If selected, it will first redirect to the VAC appointment dates page. After selecting the VAC date, it will then take to the interview appointment dates page.

Check it there is an available date which you desire.

Good Luck

A few questions if anyone can answer based on others who have posted here. I've scanned the past few months of posts, but haven't found concrete answers on the below.

  • If you requested for a Social Security Number via DS-260, when does that typically get processed and received after visa approval?

  • Once the interview letter is in hand, I know the next steps are to get biometrics and medical screenings done. Has anyone posted how quickly those can be scheduled in India? We would likely go to CMM Hyderabad for the medical and the Visa Application Centre there as well.

  • Once the interview letter is in hand, is it possible to get those done in a matter of days and then try to request an earlier date per the below?

1) You will receive your SSN within few weeks after landing in the USA

2) For medical, go to CCM Hyderabad website, there you fill a form and submit it. You will receive an email from the doctor about the appointment in 2 to 3 business days. I guess your appointment will be scheduled like 2 to 3 weeks before the interview.

3) I guess you can try. There is no harm in asking for earlier date.

Good Luck

Congrats to everyone who has received IL for Dhaka, Bangladesh. @garjisme , @theblooray, @Mahfuz and @naz94.  Whenever possible, please update the excel spreadsheet for others who have been waiting for IL specially for Bangladesh. Link to the excel spreadsheet is on page 1 of this thread. I have been following you guys on this website for long time. I know you guys have waited long.

It looks like whoever received DQ notification in the month of May, 2019 and half of June, 2019 have received IL today. I am waiting for mine which is August 6th, 2019. Hopefully, rest of us will not have to wait 4 months to receive IL. If you guys know anyone who received DQ letter in end of June 2019 or July 2019, please tag the person here. It will be helpful for us to track. Looks like July and August might receive their IL in October, 2019. Thank you.
