When did you call? So your saying as of last week, the NVC hasn’t received the available dates yet from the embassy? It’s hard to believe because most NVC phone operators say they have “no way of knowing how long” the wait will be so I’m curious how some are able to give any estimates at all.

On Friday. OK, again: She said London Embassy is done for September and they still don't have any dates to schedule for October and I never said she gave me any clue when this will happen. So it IS just confirming what are you saying. They didn't give me ANY estimate. She just said that interview definitely won't happen in September.

It doesn't mean that when they'll get October dates, that I'll be in that group. Maybe I'll be scheduled for November. Who knows.

Yes ok I understand. Cool she was able to give you that much information though. Surprising that they still haven’t received the dates for October

I sent an expedite.  Nvc sent it to the mumbai consulate.  They replied and said, they have so many interviews and they have to go in order. What the hell.. Where are the interview letters my friends on here?

What are they doing

Sleeping 🤬

I Got the same response from Cairo embassy. I don’t think NVC sent anything

A few questions

1. Is it common for the NVC to ask for the same documents over and over again?  My friend has submitted certain documents, which were approved, and then received a request for them again online.

2. How long after being documentarily qualified would one expect to get the invitation to do the medical?  Is the medical exam coordinated by the NVC or the embassy?

Wow it's not even that they were focusing on another visa type, they just did no work in July. Hopefully we'll see some improvement when August's stats come out. Also thank you for this, we're not there yet but I've been trying to follow the backlog as best as possible in hopes that it'll clear before we get in line so this data is great to have!

You’re welcome! Yes hopefully! I already know Montreal is backlogged even before my NVC stage but this is the worst I think. We still have April people waiting. 🙏🏽

I was expecting a bit of a backlog since it's pretty normal for them to be backlogged in the summer but looking at July 2019 vs July 2018 and even July 2017, the numbers this year are abysmal. I know things were pretty bad around a decade ago (I just finished going through every page of the Canada forum :dead:) but it looks like this is one of, if not the worst backlog since then. That one eventually cleared, and so will this one, I just hope they do it quickly so everyone stuck in it can be with their loved ones soon!

Noticed the same for Mumbai. For the people that did fill it out, it was still moving faster than 4 months from CC to IL

So I put together approved visas for Mumbai from March 2017 to July 2019 from Visa Statistics. I am hoping for the spike in IR1/CR1 in October based on previous year. The bottom chart is for B1/B2 and F1 visas. Hopefully, they are done with the student visas and focus more on IR1/CR1.

Hopefully, this will help us to see the bigger picture based on the past trends.

Do we have some chance?

I can only pray 🙏🏼
