Hey,  on the application Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Form I-129F which your sponsor needs to fill, you have the option to enter where you want the interview. I'm from Ireland though been living in London so we selected London embassy but it got sent to Dublin anyway!I guess there are no guarantees with this process!

There are no K1 interviews in Edinburgh. You will go to London for the medical and the interview.

Somebody made a mistake because you may interview in the country where you reside. Did you use your London address on the petition so they know that is your residence? If the file is already in Dublin, it may be easier to go there than do the process to transfer the file to London.

How do you know this?

Because the US embassy in London contains the consular unit for the UK.

saying it is a certain way with no explanation is not a good answer.  you shouldn't just believe anyone on the internet.  i think i have a right to doubt anyone's answer. Jorgedig actually attempted to give a reason as an answer other than "this isn't my first rodeo." 🙄

Yeas as stated you can't go to Edinburgh unfortunately, they don't handle visas it's London for that

Here you go straight from the horses mouth 😋https://uk.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/edinburgh/visas/

Edinburgh would have suited me much better too, but alas I had to go London bound, I used the sleeper train to get down the twice I had to go, as bear in mind they will also have to go there for the medical as well 🤪

it's weird that you can in Northern Ireland but in Scotland you have to travel -- twice -- If you're in the Far North like I am it costs a fair bit in both time and money and is a massive pain. I've debated the sleeper train but if you're in the Highlands they're still on the older stock/carriages. So I'm trying to decide between that or Travel Lodge and flying. I'm predicting it'll take 3 days per trip based on where I am, etc.

Northern Ireland goes to London too...twice.

Its is expensive,  especially when 5 days before your interview that you have airfare for they cancel. So now its thrice!
