I Used DHL and I am so far satisfied with their service. Its a bit expensive compared to some other services. But we dont want to take a chance when we cant afford losing it by any chance.

Recently it seems they are in the process of merging with bluedart. That means it has a wider service network, which was an added reason for me to use their service.

I recently had to send hubby quite a few documents and used UPS. I was originally going to have to pay around 70 dollars too. However, the weirdest (and best thing) happened. I had called the UPS customer service number to see what time my local office stopped receiving packages. Long story short they gave me wrong information. After 5p they didn't accept packages....they only allowed pick-ups for those who had attempted delivery notices. I begged and pleaded with the counter guy and told him important the paperwork was. Long story short, he accepted the package and refused to charge me anything. The package arrived two days later.

I've also shipped things to my husband via the post office's supposedly speedy shipping method. IMHO, save your money on that. I paid for the package to arrive within 4-10 days. I reached Delhi before the package did a whole month and a half later. Crazy huh? When I called the post office to check on the delivery status I was told that even though I paid for the expedited service, once it leaves the U.S. they have no control over when it is delivered. I was blown away.

This is what I have found in my own experience. FedEx and UPS arrive fastest. However, FedEX costs a bit more. DHL usually runs a day or so behind UPS and Fedex on delivery and while they are the cheapest among all three, you only wind up saving a couple of dollars. The difference in shipping price is minimal I hope this helps you.

I agree with MrsAyilliath, UPS is cheapest and things arrive fast. However I separated the very important, non-replaceable original documents and sent them by FedEx, which yes, is very expensive but guaranteed. DHL was slightly cheaper but there was no nearby drop-off office so I didn't use it. From California to Hyderabad, FedEx arrived safely in 3 days and UPS arrived in 9 days.
