Such a relief, right? 😁 It's a bit more waiting time for your NVC case number, so you can already start gathering requirements for your fiance's interview. Mostly financial stuff from you.

It is a huge relief! I dont mind the wait now, knowing that everything is moving ya know? Its a different kind of waiting, its like the difference between waiting to go to the dentist appointment and waiting to get the new gadget you bought off amazon LOL.  Two different waits, one is painfully slow and the other is going to be so awesome when it arrives :D

Yeah, I totally get that kind of waiting. At least now, the feeling's one of anticipation.

Give it a week or two, and you can start bugging NVC for your case. 😁 They seem to be processing much faster now.

Ooh, lucky you! :) Manila Embassy's not so bad either, I think.

Yeah, I just got our NVC number. It took just a little less than a month, because of the holiday lull. But hopefully, it would go much quicker now. Fingers crossed that our case gets shipped on the 21st. 😁

Did you update your email with the NVC, like that PDF suggests? If so, where it talks about receipt number and wac number, I am assuming the receipt number is on the hardcopy noa2 that I will get?

Yes, I did. But impatient person that I am, I also called NVC a coupla times to follow up on our case. The receipt number you'll be using to request your case number is the same WAC # you used to track your application at USCIS.

Hey everyone,

I got a RFE for the beneficiaries intent to marry.
I sent the standard letter stating I was intending to get married within 90 days of my arrival in the US. I’m not sure what else to send?
Please any advice would be appreciated

thanks

Not to create confusion and a lot of questions at the interview, I'd get a new account and let the bum have his own. Copies are fine. Scan and email and print them out on the beneficiary's side.

Can you update your profile please.

Done :) I will do the new account. I’m going to Pakistan next month with him so I’m taking him everything he will need so he has it. Is it ok to do all this like the affidavit of support and all that in feb when I’m thinking the interview will be in March or April ? I will want my 2019 taxes since my income is where it will be minimum.  I work a second job too so it will be even higher for his aos here. I have 5 kids but I’m like almost to the 250% poverty level. I’m sure that’s ok.

Make sure you take some time to read up on the medical process there at SLEC, you don't want to go there without at least having some idea what to expect. Also if you don't know yet make sure to bring several extra copies of YOUR (beneficiary) birth certificate with you for when you get to the US. I recommend everyone do that.

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

Yes, Sarge, I've done up on my homework for the SLEC medical exam. Thanks for the reminder. :)  Speaking of which, they now require the eligibility letter from NVC. But a friend inquired if she could do her medical in advance; she only has her NVC case number (status: At NVC). They said she could anyway.

How many copies of my birth certificate should I bring? I only got a couple from PSA the last time, but I could still get some more later as may be needed.

My wife brought 6 and we are sure glad  she did. If you get a few at a time it would make it easier or all at once if you hate standing in the PSA line! Whichever  works for you just bring extras!
