This is actually being a big mess of work flow! Completely not understandable that they are approving cases from October and still not have been done with September! UNBELIEVABLE! 😡

I have these same thoughts smh it’s soo frustrating at times!

Yeah, I agree. You'd think they'd make sure each month is done first.

I've given up looking, and just assuming it will take the max amount of months (7 right?) this way I don't get sad when others who have filed weeks after I did get approved.

Eventually we will all be accepted. Just gotta wait it out, and hope the people who have our file on their desk hurry up. OR hope they didn't lose it somehow, which I sometimes wonder since some of the numbers before and after me were approved (based off the app).

Anyway. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Have you tried to call them?

The worst thing is that some people from September who got RFE, already got approved too. Really really silly way of approaching to this! I mean, it is people’s lives, it’s not some video game that you can “play” around!

That would actually make things slower, assuming the cases that take a very long time to process aren't because they lost track of a file and didn't work on it for a few months.

Back when we filed (May 2018), the first cases from that month that were approved were in late October of 2018 (we were near the end of May,  got approved in mid-November, and a handful of early June filers were before us). Though they were mostly done with May 2018 filers by December 2018, the last case (without an RFE) wasn't approved until March 2019.

Ok. One Million people are applying for the K-1 visa. How would you go about approaching this? It's not like you are the same as someone from Germany.

Look, your different then someone else, you're from a different country then someone else, you have different family members then others do, you filed your case differently then maybe what the adjudicator was looking for, and you are interview in a different country. So what is fair? What process would you put in place that wouldn't make someone pull their hair out or say they are "playing" around? I'm waiting.

Do you even know what goes into background checks? I took the time to gather some information that answers that question. But that would mean you doing some work and finding the document on the first page of this thread in the first post.

Don't come back here and tell me I am rude. I've heard that excuse too many times. The help is there but disparaging USCIS, NVC or Embassy is not cool. Just my two cents.

See my response above. Use the recommendation to read the first page of this thread using the links in the first post. You'll get your answer. Don't forget to read my dissertation above as I answer that question.

I certainly do think they are doing a great job by looking at all those cases and all the things they do to make sure it’s the right way to adjudicate them. Don’t get me wrong please 😊

But still my opinion is that it could be classified in some better way, so there’s no big gap, which is sometimes even a month or more. However I’m just sharing my thoughts with you guys, and I’m not trying to disparage anyone.
