Also, I was hoping I can help pay for the form online using my credit card.  The application is expensive in her money so I rather cover the cost.

Unfortunately, you can only pay the visa fee thru BPI bank here in the PH.

Sorry to SPAM but I tried looking this up: For the QUESTION: DS-160

The List of Purposes of Trip to the U.S.

I am due to visit for Christmas - do I put that down as a travel plan? - or does it mean the FINAL PLAN once I get the visa?

after that:

ALSO - my PoC is my fiancee - but my options only list closest as FRIEND or OTHER - what should I put?

Later on I list the same person as my Fiancee. ?? Odd.....

Thanks

SB

You're a star - like @Hank_ : SO basically, ensure it's A1 - double check, check again and pay/submit?

Or should I wait until after I visit for Christmas?

Hi Greenbaum.  This might be a stupid question, but I am going to ask it anyway.  Unfortunately, my beneficiary does not have access to a computer that can pull up the DS-160 online.  Her computer at work has its own browser which is just not compatible and she doesn’t own a PC.

Can I just have her video chat with me so we can fill out the DS-160 together off of my computer at home and submit it?  Or would that be considered fraud since she needs to fill it out on her end?  Not sure if that matters at all.....

Also, I was hoping I can help pay for the form online using my credit card.  The application is expensive in her money so I rather cover the cost.

My friend Hank has a great website that answers that question and more. It's a long answer with a lot of "if" then do this statements so I will just list the web address here and you can determine what is best for you. https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html  Scroll down to I-129f section use the "Visa Fee" tab and their will be your options.

According to the instructions she is they only one who can "sign and submit" but we have yet to see anyone get denied or hauled off to the hoosegow. I think you will be ok if you were to submit. Does she have access to a computer cafe and access the completed (which you and her have worked on together by video chat) DS-160 and sign and submit.

Q1 - Yes but their is no payment. Free to submit. The interviw fee is payable after you submit the DS-160.

Q2 - Your choice but you can pay the interview fee till it's been submitted which means you can't schedule and interview.

My issues/query is: Does delay create huge delay in process to the end game / does early submission hinder my festive break :)

Hard to know.

And oh course if I submit today my last 5 visits wont include CHRISTMAS 2019/20 but if they read it in JAN20 it should include it. But its true at submission.

(Oddly many ppl say there's a fee for DS-160 - not that it matters.... but its odd there are different opinions.)

I have seen that so many times and forgive me but I am A_na_al when it comes to what is and is not in this process. Because it matters. Denials are not a happy occasion. So, technically the DS-160 when submitted has never asked for a fee. But you have to have the DS-160 completed to PAY and schedule the interview appointment. It was about a year ago that they required the DS-160 prior to scheduling the interview and hence I see where people think that it's a fee since they jump right over to paying the interview fee in order to schedule their interview appointment. Anywhoooo. Have a wonderful day.

BTW, UK is so easy to interview. She'll will be in front of the CO for 3-5 min tops so having more then one visit isn't going to make a difference.

Thanks... Sorry to trouble you - as ever.

No problem. Great discussion for you and for others to read. It's an educational process and to learn you ask questions and banter back and forth to achieve the correct answer.

Darn, I wish I knew the Queens English. To many spelling errors.

My NOA1 was 9/9
Got an RFE today 16/12

I feel super bummed and stressed as I thought I submitted everything. So I guess I just need to wait and see what the issue is and fix it.

Thanks both of you!

I have slept on it and I do feel a lot better today. Hoping it is a quick fix and a fast turnaround. I am not looking to move until July so the delay isn't an issue at all. It is just the not knowing and having my life in someone elses hands. I guess we can all relate to that!

Glad you are feeling better and positive
