Well, right now we’re not even halfway of the NOA1 timeline, so we’re just chatting about engagement rings, wedding dresses and complaining about fiancés lol 😂

But whenever we need real help with the visa, you and @Sarge2155 are our experts 😉

Oh Girl talk.

Well they received it on the 27th of September, but my NOA1 and check cashed was Oct 3rd.  According to the case tracking, it also says that it was received on the 27th, so I kind of hit both LOL

Question, my fiancé worked in Dubai for about 6 months, will he need a police clearance for Dubai?

I would say yes, as what Ive read is if you have lived in a location for 6 months or more, you would need to have the police certificate/clearance from that location. But @Greenbaum or @Sarge2155 may be able to give you a more definite answer :D

Hello! I have applied for k-1 fiancee visa this month and I would like to visit before the end of the year my fiancee in US. Did someone visit from Europe to their fiancee in the states while applying for the k-1 visa? The lawyer told me is up to the officer at the port of entry to allow someone in the country or not.

Thanks in advance!

Yea but I think if you don’t currently live in UAE than the police certificate is unavailable. Read that somewhere so looking to confirm. But thanks for the advice

Do you have a visitor’s visa?

My understanding is that if you have resided anywhere for 6 months or more, since the age of 18, you would need to have a police clearance/certificate, regardless of whether the person is currently living there.   Hopefully someone else pops on and can help.  Have you checked out the Dubai forum yet? There might be something there too?

While each situation is different, I would say that yes, you can visit during the process.

Right, but on the uscis site it says that if you are not currently in the UAE the police certificate is unavailable.
