Hi Greenbaum, thank you for all the information!

Going off the question above...for the i-134, is it necessary to include all the supporting documents if I meet the income threshold from my 2018 US tax returns?

I am the petitioner currently living and employed in NZ until Oct 31... then I will either have some other temporary employment or be unemployed for a few months until my fiance and I get his visa approved so we can go to the US together.

So, I don't think a letter from my NZ employer will help and I can't get officer of my bank accounts to write letters with my bank statements. So, I plan on only including my 2018 tax returns. - I have a professional corporation in CA that I can use as my self-employment status with my tax returns.

Let me know if this doesn't make sense.

Have you found the answer to the question you asked about the I134 cos i want o to know too?

A question for any one else here from India.

What option are you choosing when applying for PCC (police clearance certificate) for your fiance?  It seems to me that I should select "Long term visa/stay" or Immigration.  I tried using "Others -> "Fiance Visa" and the foolish pen-pusher clerks said that wasn't a known option.

NOA2 issue date Sep-23

Case received at NVC Oct-8

Case # not assigned yet.

Called again today and the NVC case number has been assigned.  They gave it to me.  Also, they assigned what is called an Invoice-ID (IID) number.  They said next step is to wait for an email from NVC when the file leaves for the embassy.

I put in Immigration Purposes Other Than Citizenship. That worked. A Fiance Visa would come under the scope of Immigration and is easier to understand. Others adds ambiguity.

Finally figure it out how to call haha

They have our case but no number yet.. (NOA2 09/18)

I decided to call today too, since I had some spare time. Did get our case number. But nothing I can do until I get the email and the petition is sent to the embassy. It’s good to know there’s progress

I think you can go ahead and get DS-160 completed.

Yeah I think you’re right. I’ll probably do that soon. I expect another week or so before it’s processed and sent to the embassy. Hope you get yours soon

I used Google Hangouts.. When I was trying to use with the app it was $0,01 a minute, but from my gmail account it was free and pretty simple to use. Lemme know if you need help with it.. You just need a gmail account and the Hangout part is at the bottom left part.
