Today and tomorrow are big days for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Shipments are throughout today and tomorrow so don't get discourage if your record at CEAC has not changed over to "in transit” Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread NUMBER 19 for instructions. NOTE: The DHL hack information will not be available till Wednesday as the DHL and NVC computers must sync with each other to produce the outcome.

 

You have three stages 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number. Once your record is set to "ready" you are ready to proceed in processing your next steps as listed in your P3 for your embassy.  I have most P3 if you hit me up with a request, I will post back the links.

 

Please don't screenshot and post your CEAC status as it just clutters up the thread. We all know what it looks like. Let us know your progress as we want to celebrate with you. Good luck.

I got an email 2:30AM California time from NVC notifying us that our file finally shipped! CEAC shows "in transit".

Just an update.

Received visa in the mail today! whooo

WAC number on the visa is wrong, lameee haha emailed embassy to try and figure it out what I can do.. I can tell it was a typo because every number is correct except one.

I can't wait till this nightmare is over!! Stay strong everyone

Has anyone got their second "ready" yet? I am still waiting... got my first ready on December 1st.

Well it's Sunday at most embassy's so there won't any activity.

 

The first ready is the electronic version and your paper file will cause the second ready. But, to see that you need to know where your case file is about now. So use the DHL hack to follow your paper file. Now you have a better idea when to expect the second ready.

Thank you! sorry i miswrote, i got my first ready on november 15th. I know there was american thanksgiving but maybe people got their 2nd ready within a week.

Ready as in post interview? We got ours Friday. Hoping to get the passport back tomorrow.

You can't hurry it along at all. You must wait till you see your date on ceac change to ready two times. Second change you can send in your P3. A copy of the P3 is linked below. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actual one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterwards.

Here is some additional information. As was stated in the Canadian sub-forum there is an "emergency order" application in Ontario. You need the birth cert that is CERTIFIED COPY OF BIRTH REGISTRATION that has the parents name. You don't want the "parental cert" that is a wallet sized one with parents names but no place of birth, doctors who attended birth etc. The parental one is for parents travelling with kids to prove custody in an easy to use/travel with format. Hope this clears up your question. CALL the registrar and tell them you need to do an emergency application otherwise you will be waiting 15+ weeks. Absolutely the long form is a required LIVE document needed at the interview or you'll get rejected.  I hope this info is helpful and best of luck.

 

In case you're doing the medical in Vancouver: Dr. Cheema requires you to schedule the interview first in order to book the medical.

 

Routine vaccinations such as MMR, Tetanus, Flu Shots, etc are offered free of charge in the province of Ontario. Patients can walk into any health care clinical or family physician office and receive these immunizations for free.  it would be better to go and get your vaccinations free of charge rather than pay any additional fees at these the medical exams.

Ah sorry I haven't had a chance to follow along to the thread as much recently.

 

We did receive our K1 packet and visa in the mail today. The packet had a corner that was cut open. We e-mailed the embassy and they told us it was standard procedure. My fiancee also booked her tickets to travel! I'm so excited and relieved. Hope everybody else can continue with success as well!

Lots of us with a first ready on 11-15 still waiting for the second ready. Patience is a virtue.
