what did you put in shipper's reference. I'm not sure if this is because it's less than 24 hours but I tried this is giving me an error: EXP 29 OCT 2019A

I get the same error.  Can't seem to get it right.

I did the DHL hack, and "my" shipment from NVC is expected to arrive at destination Mumbai on Friday Nov-1.

Once the hack works, and you get the AirWayBill number, you can get the DHL website to notify you via email as the shipment progresses.

Thank you for posting, I was finally able to get it!

So I don’t really understand what happens next. On the state department website, it says gather documents for the interview at the embassy but everyone on this website talks about “front-loading” an application and that “the decision has been made by the time of the actual interview” so at what point is this information actually delivered to the embassy?

I can see why you are confused. May I help put you on the right track so you don't make a mistake. Some embasy's are very difficult to process through so those who use that embassy "front-load" their documents for the interview at which time the present them if asked by the interview CO. You are not in a difficult embassy so their is not need to front load.

Yes, in most cases your application is approved for a visa with the exception of some house keeping that the CO needs to do. The interview will last for about 5-10 min and that's where they will ask the house keeping questions. They will want to review your local police record, any police records from abroad and or anything that comes their way via the requested documents in the P3 letter. The P3 letter is the insturctions for what to bring to the interview. Missing any of those documents and you will receive a 221(g) (it's like an RFE) delaying your visa approval.

So let's get you on the right track with the following links and information.

https://fr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/PRS-Paris.pdf

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g3Kap3mdru6wVgE95v0aLDs7kCvUk3BP/view?usp=sharing

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

Curious if there is a way to tell how many packages are going to each embassy? For example in DHL it says there is "1 piece". Comparing that to India which says 2. I doubt India only has 2 packets going through but I would think it means there's more than Romania.

Is there anyway to tell either through DHL or through the case number? I know per the pdf on the first page the case number is broken up like MTL|2014|815|162. But does 162 mean it was the 162 case assigned for MTL?

Case still hasnt left NVC and i had case number assigned on Oct 21st :( really bummed as i was really hoping it would of gone to embassy by now

In the same boat here, I am starting to think the number you see on the case number is possibly the received date but not the date NVC would input into their system (which I assume would need to be done before the Wednesday before the next shipping date).

No there is no way to know but the DHL hack is a guess. Nothing official.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

So for those who's case numbers are not in transit today, when is the next shipment leading NVC?

There is some great information in the a PDF file on the first page, first post of this thread. Tips tricks and hacks to help you along at this stage. BTW, that question you just asked - it's in the PDF because so many people ask that question over and over. To get the best information and not duplicate your questions it's advisable to read from the beginning of a thread up to the present so you are caught where the rest of are and not duplicating questions.

Thanks and good luck with your journey.
