Here is the letter that you will receive from Mumbai Embassy. Read it over carefully and follow the instructions. Another member of VJ added some additional information contained below which outlines what he experienced.

Once you received your case number from NVC,  I would recommend you fill out DS-160 form and submit. Some say the packet 3 letter is nothing just waste of time same thing they have mention which you easily get from USCIS website when you called to the clinics to book your medical appointment date they will ask you have you received your packet letter or not. Just say yes and booked the appointment date however you will receive that letter within 2 weeks the day you will get your NVC number.

Go on USCIS website make your account with password and then pay your fees to Citibank or Axis bank. They will give you reference number. With that number you can book your biometric and interview appointment date. The fees are 18,500 and for medical but I recommend that you carry 20,000 with you in the event you need more. Be sure to  keep at least 7 days gap between medical and interview.

Yes @Greenbaum, thank you.  You had referred me to these links before, and I found them quite helpful.  There isn't info in these threads on what document exactly is asked for at the medical appointment.  Let me call the hospital and check myself.  In any case, I should have the CEAC email hopefully today and the beneficiary can take its printout when she goes for the medical.

There is no CEAC mail. I think you mean the letter from NVC. Check with your sub-forum for this answer. The hospital is busy so it's best to tap into your resources here on VJ.

There isn't going to be an email from CEAC. You are waiting on NVC to send you confirmation of your case number.

It's because you are to early. Thirty days from NOA2 and then one to two weeks for case number assingment.

The reason I ask is that he's just been given a work commitment that he has to fulfill in May, and we do not want to wait until after that for him to come over. After seeing the flurry of activity on this thread, i checked the ceac site and see my case is IN TRANSIT. 

I received no email or any notice about the change. 

Now to read up on Abu Dhabi consulate info to see whats next! Good luck everyone!

I want to add these call logs to my relationship evidence during the embassy interview, in addition to the other evidence.  I don't want to print out all the chat messages, as that is personal and I have no intention of giving Department of State a crash course on romantic chatting haha.

Not sure if you have called the NVC yet but my NOA2 was around your time and I called yesterday and found out my Case number was assigned on Oct 23rd. I was on the phone for an hour before I got through but it was well worth it.

Yeah! Everytime I call I get the standard message like we r 2 busy 2 talk 2 u haha! I call at different times of the day and its still the same thing! And then the call automatically hangs up! I use the 603-334-0700 number! Should I call the other line? 603-334-0888?
