SEPTEMBER 2019 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY

We received our NOA2 on September 12th, still waiting.  Tried calling many times but can't get past the initial recording.

Was this for the K-1? I have been calling the 603-334-0700 number for immigrant visas and I just get a recording then it hangs up. My NOA2 was approved on 09/12/2019. Any help would be appreciated.

There are two different recordings. The one you were getting, and one that starts out the same but then gives you options, in the end you choose option 7 to talk to an operator. When you call and it goes straight to the recording its the one without options so hang up and call again. If there is even a single ringtone before the recording starts stay on the line, usually its the one with the options

Thank you but I have been calling number all week and I get the same results.  The recording in English is a man, then it repeats as a woman in Spanish then immediately hangs up. It's getting frustrating because I see couples on here that received their NOA2 approval after us, yet have received their NVC number.

The process can be frustrating at best. But, think if you did not know if anyone was getting approved before or after you. Would you feel frustrated? I don't think so. It's the expectation that you set so high and when it doesn't materialized the way you feel it fits you then you are disappointed. Set your sits lower. Don't follow so many others. Pay attention to what's important to you. I have done a little research on this process. The link below will make for some good reading to understand the process.  Good luck.

Call the non-immigrant number.

I did exactly that, waited on hold for an hour and we got our number. Thank you!

Use the informational PDF on the first page, first entry. Look for NVC address changes.

I received our case number on October 1st and after approval notice on 8/21 from the USCIS haven't heard anything since. Can she fill out the DS-160 now or do we have to wait until embassy in Colombia receives visa from NVC?? Anything else I can do while waiting?

Yes, for a K1. I called the number (603) 334-0888.
