My field office is Nebraska but I have read this has been moved to CSC. So my question is do I send it to Nebraska and lose the 5-15 days that it will take for them to forward it, or do I send it straight to CSC?

In addition is there a listing of STREET addresses for the centers so I may send it via DHL?

Thanks to all for the great help!

PS She is planning to move in the next 2 months but we do not know where to, how do we deal with this?

You must still send your petition to the service center that has jurisdiction over your area - they will forward it to its final destination. From what I've seen - it's not 5-15 days, but regardless, you must still send it to Nebraska.

Send it to the address on the instructions - I recommend USPS (can do it priority if you feel like it) - it will get there fast enough.

I presume "She" is the foreign fiance - Her address can be changed via the USCIS web site once you have your case number - worry about that down the road. It is easy to do, so don't worry.

Hope this helps

I like simple USPS Priority Mail and pay a couple bucks for delivery notification (online). Otherwise I recommend following the instructions. Bureaucrats always appreciate that.

It still seems (and maybe this is just the jaded eyes of a CSC filer) that NE/TX filers get through in a few days less time than the CA filers. At any rate, they don't seem 5-15 days SLOWER because of the transfer. Still 2.9 months average.

And while you go through the process, it's best to ask yourself: "Why did the government take the time to carefully spell out exactly what I am supposed to do (like where I am to mail this form) and why would I not do what the instructions tell me to do?"

There are some things that are confusing, but on the really simple, no question-about-it-stuff, Do What They Tell You. It will save you time in the long run.

Same goes for mailing - use regular USPS, with delivery confirmation (not the one that needs to be signed for either, just the one that tells you when it gets there.) That's ample notice and ample ability to track. Mail goes pretty quickly, you'll be fine and save pennies for AOS under the new fee schedule.
