I have received a mail letter for the biometric, but did not get any email from uscis. Is that normal? I have never received any email from them. When i receive my appointment date for the aos interview, do we also only get it in mail and not email?

So far I only got notifications in mail (NOA1, biometrics appointment letter, interview letter), never received anything in email. Also once my husband and I received text messages on our phones saying that there’s an update of our case (for interview appointment).

I say USCIS’ notification system is not quite reliable. Even though I included G-1145 forms for text and email notifications, I’ve only gotten email notifications not text messages. 

 

As long as you get actual NOA letters, you’ll be fine.
