Anyone went through the process lately and care to share their experience? I am interested in actual timelines since I am eligible to file july, 25th 2007 (5 days prior the horrid new fees ). I am leaving the area in june/july 2008 (hubby is in the military) so I would like to be finished before we move since most likely it will be out of state if not overseas...I need to find out if roughly one year could be enough to complete everything.

I'm not sure about the wait now, but it was quite fast last year. Filed June 2006, interviewed September, and took the oath in October.

Had I not left my marriage certificate at home, I could have taken the oath on the date of interview. The officer insisted on getting a copy even though my GC was employment-based.

Hey, thank you so much for posting your experience! That WAS fast! Hopefully it is still that quick these days...And hopefully someone else will see this thread and post their timeline as well so that we can get a more consistent idea on long it usually is.
