I'm just wondering if my S/O and I never really emailed eachother would that make a big difference? What ever I did email was deleted because we never knew we would need this to make a fiance visa. I call him everyday, atleast 3 times a day. I have copies of my phonecard lists and I am sending him 3 months worth of calls. We also use yahoo messenger everyday and chat, which I made copies of the logs. We sent each other valentine's and birthday cards by the mail. Would you say we have enough correspondence already? It sure is costing me atleast $300 a month!

I need a long vacation again B)

I hope not. Ali and I never send emails. We have chatted about 4 or 5 times and thats it.

Our ways of communication ?

Landline phone, my cell phone, write letters (yes a hand written letter), send cards on every single occasion, packages with gifts, and pictures, pictures, pictures.

Then again we are a IR-1 and not a K-1. If the consulate were to ask Ali why we do not have e-mails or more inernet chat sessions he would say, "Because I don't have computer at home and would have to go to the internet cafe to use the internet. At the internet cafe are alot of people (young men in particular), I do not feel safe in looking at her pictures or reading anything from her with them around. Lack of privacy." Plain and simple.

I don't think we should have to change our relationship because everyone else communicates by e-mail. We don't .. We are Ali & Massouna and we are in love. So be it.

Reunited and it feels so good ....

NOA #1 - March 23rd, 2004

Interview- May 18th, 2006 (Success !)

Arrived in the US - May 27, 2006 (our IR-1 visa journey was 2 years and 2 months long)

Wedding - June 17th, 2006

It's a Girl ! Baby Hana's expected due date - March 30th, 2007

I agree with you, I don't like emailing. My prefered method is talking by the phone. I hope your husband gets approved soon.

I think your phone records and chat records, along with the cards sent by mail, will be ample evidence, especially the records from before the engagement (they really like to see evidence of a relationship pre-dating the decision to marry.) And don't forget to keep documenting !

Best of luck to you both for a smooth ride through the consulate !

You have plenty of other evidence, but if it's not too annoying, why not send each other emails like once a month, just so you can have some more evidence and not worry about it? Maj and I did that; we only really talked on the phone, but I felt better having more evidence, especially since most of our phone conversations were untraceable.

It sounds like with all your chat logs you should be in the clear, but it wouldn't hurt to email every once in a while. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with everyone too, I think you have plenty. I'm in the same boat as you, I didn't save most of the emails we had, especially in the beginning!

Wouldn't that be considered fraud anyway? How are we supposed to know in the beginning that we are gonna marry these guys and to save everything UNLESS that was the plan all along. I think it could go against you if you have so much and it looks planned.

Exactly! I never thought of saving every detail.

Imagine if you send them a copie of a bill from a doctor for having a stress test due to stessing out on waiting for your S/O to get a visa. Perhaps asking them to pay for it too. They will see the real love B)
