Hey all!

Me again

So we previously thought my fiancee makes 100% of the poverty line for my K1 interview, but we've now found out that it was a mistake and she is under the threshold.
Her father, however, is not and has agreed to sponsor us.

Does anyone know if London accepts co-sponsors? We've only just discovered this and I have my medical booked for Thursday (8/29). I'm very flustered and don't know what to do.

If we need to use her dad as a co-sponsor, what do we need to do?

Sorry for the winding story and thank you for any help you can provide!!

Hi, yes London accepts co-sponsorship.

Things required at the embassy appointment if using a cosponsor: I-134 from the cosponsor ONLY. You can throw the fiancé's I-134 in for good measure but they won't ask for it honestly.

Financial documents such as - tax transcripts, paystubs, or employer letter from the cosponsor ONLY. If using assets then whatever proof of that from the cosponsor ONLY.

London is pretty easy, they've been known to accept 100%, but better to be safe. They even allow for self-sponsorship if the beneficiary has a large chunk of savings or assets.

When you marry and adjust status and still intending on using a cosponsor - be advised that the rules are a little different and more strict with financial requirements. In that case you'd need to provide an I-864 from the cosponsor (called the joint sponsor) and a separate I-864 from the sponsor (the fiancé now spouse) and financial documents from both parties.
