My AOS was marriage based. I arrived in the States my wife and I indeed did not know what to do.We sent docs to wrong institutions until later search then we were able to come to terms with what to do.To cut a long story short, I went thro the biometrics with a small hitch. This was as a result of the fact that the computer couldn't pick my fingerprint so the lady-officer(nice though) decided to do it manual and it worked.

Went to the interview on 1st May,2007 and by 17th May,welcoming letter had been emailed. On the 22nd May,2007 email notice changed to Card Production Ordered and on the 25th May,2007 it changed again to Approval notice sent.

Indeed, I have only received my welcome letter as of today, awaiting that of the CARD itself and approval notice in my mailbox.

INTERVIEW

My interview itself which was scheduled on the May 2,2007 at the Sansome Office in San Francisco took a little than 5 minutes. Indeed, my wife and I were kind of surprised. We had the days before prepared feverishly, dreaming and thinking wild as to how this all-monster interview was going to be like. We got there and had just about 5 minutes to spend before the officer. The only question asked was the birthdate of my wife. And the rest were ma wife's employment letter and copies of her IDs.In fact,we had gone into this interview with two bags full of documents. My wife had one and I also had one besides two-photo albums. The officer was very nice.I have to add this.

HITCH.

The reason why I could not have had my approval notice on the day of the interview was the fact that I had not had my vaccination records transferred onto the Vaccination Supplemental form I-693.So he recommended that I did that with an approved Surgeon by USCIS and asked us not to come back to the office but mail the form sealed to the Sansome address. We did that and that resulted in the approval as indicated above.

ADVICE.

Do not be bothered that much about the alleged negative experiences others face at the interview. Just go prepared. Say a prayer and ask for God's favor in the presence of the interviewer. The officers are as human as we are and I believe they treat each case with a human-face except when they have cause to suspect foul play. God bless you all who are yet to have your interview.
