How important/useful is it to create a USCIS account?

If I sign up for one during I129F, will my fiance use the same account for AOS? or will she have to make her own account?

Setting up an acct allows you to login to USCIS to check status, but the USCIS website isn't kept very up to date .. sadly.

Your acct is only for your process .. the petition.

I see. By the way I'm getting a validation error on the USCIS case tracker online. Is this common?

Copy the case file number exactly?   Usually that is the issue.    What service center is your petition at?

WAC - California Service Center

SRC - Texas Service Center

These are 2 main service centers which process this kind of petitions.

One main,  Texas hasn't done an i129f in years despite what people might think.

Vermont gets an occasional i129f if California finds something out of the ordinary

YMMV

Interesting note. Why do you think so?

Even here, on VJ K Visa Timeline Statistics for the period of last 3 months Texas is present - 104 total records processed: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?history=90

California has 452 records processed.

So,  it seems logical that Texas is the 2-d main service center.

I don't think,  I know.   Because people send to the Texas lockbox and automatically think its Texas service center

YMMV

Because people don't know the difference between a lockbox and a service center, so they fill out their timeline incorrectly. CSC is the service center that handles i-129f petitions.

The account isn't useful at all for the i-129f if your receipt number doesn't work. If your receipt number does work, you can sign up and opt to get email and/or texts when there's an update on your case.

Our receipt number didn't work for about 5 months so we didn't have any use for the account that whole time.

TXBill said it's a WAC and he doesn't know what does it mean. I answered him.  There were no questions about lockbox.

Scandi, what was the issue with your receipt number? How did you solve it?
