Filing as Green Card Loterry Winner. I have a question about filing online N400, I became a LPR on November 16th 2014, now trying to fill out forms  90 days early online and it asking my 5 years residency addresses, I filled everything but, At the end it says I have missing information which is asking me address from August 20th till November 15 2014, but I wasn’t in the US that 3 months yet. At the top there is an information that I have to be resident for 5 years but since I am eligible to file 3 months early now they asking my address prior I became a LPR. By the way I have never traveled outside of the US since I immigrate here. Need help. Don’t know what I need to do in this case, wait another 3 months so it’s gonna be 5 full years and then fill out N400 online or I have to write the address of country where I lived before I became a LPR? Anyone had same issue? What should I do in this case? Thank you

Last year I submitted my N-400 applic 45 days before my 5th yr GC anniversary. I think you only need to put the time that you are LPR and not beforehand BUT I still put the time beforehand for both residence and employment. For trips outside the US, I only wrote down the trips after I became LPR.

My personal experience? No questions or corrections from the IO about this during the interview.

fyi you won't be interviewed before your 5th yr GC anniversary and the IO will just ask you if there is anything new you need to add.

Thank you for your response. I am afraid to add address outside of US  in missing information part that they are asking address since I wasn’t a lawful permanent resident between 08/22/2014 till 11/16/2014. I became a lawful permanent resident on 11/17/2014. I am just stuck in this part

I was also outside of the US at that time and not an LPR.

So, I have to write the address where I lived before moving in to the US? I am afraid they can deny my application because on the top of residency part the have info “Make sure you are meeting 5 years residency in US”

Please re read my responses. You'll eventually meet your 5 years US residency as an LPR since you WON'T be interviewed before your 5th year GC anniversary.

You might be denied for applying too early or for something else but not by putting a foreign address as a home address. Like I've said, I was interviewed without any issues about my residency and am now a US citizen.

I've always believed that the address/employment part of the naturalization form was more about checking your background than fulfilling residency requirements.

I put down my abroad address whenever it asked me for it and it went back that far. I think you just want to be able to fill out the application for now so you get your spot in the queue. Don't wait 3 more months.

Thank you! This is what I did. I fill out that part as my country of origin. Thanks for reply

Exactly but again don’t want to miss something or make mistake. Anyway already applied online today, now is waiting time. Thanks
