Really? This must be headline news, Never heard that one before.

If you keep reading the thread it explains that,  I'am sure most know that you need a US Tourist Visa to go to Guam, this is pretty much common knowledge in the Philippines.

You only need to be there 7 days in order to file for divorce.  Most countries or places require residency like living there at least 6 months.  For a PI citizen since Guam is a US Territory, it requires a tourist visa.   It is where US expats living in PI go to a divorce.

Ya really.     A U.S. tourist visa for a Filipino?   Suggesting Guam as an option?    Rub a lamp.

Now if you suggested a country where they could easily gain entry AND had "friendly" divorce laws .. that would be interesting.

Guam is a US Territory and the exact same people have to approve the visa.  And since it is a US visa, they can go anywhere in the US once they have it.  There is no difference between a Guam visa and a Chicago visa.  And if this is the first time you have heard that US visas are difficult from the Philippines, put down your transistor radio and look at the stats that are issued from the State Department.

Do I need visa to Guam?

Visa Required: The visa requirements for travel to Guam is the same with any other US territories. However, citizens of the United States are still required to present a valid passport to gain entry. For other citizens, you need to have a US visa to be able to travel to Guam.

Two hurdles.
1) Visa to Guam.
2) Wife will have to have a waiver of service (or some such) notarized at the consulate in Cebu or embassy in Manila.
