I love Facebook and I'm so glad they opened it to the general public! Now I'm in touch with so many people I haven't seen in awhile. When Facebook came to my school there were only like 20 colleges on there, and at that point it felt kind of stupid, because most of my Facebook friends were people I saw regularly anyway. But now, I love how I can keep track of what people are doing without actually having to ask them or talk to them, hehehehhe...

I don't use Facebook or Myspace or Yahoo 360 or any of that stuff. The ppl that I want to know that much stuff about me, already know it.

I just think it's a great way to stay in touch with family so far from home. My family (my husband's that is) know a great deal about me, but this is still a great way too. These people are the only family I have now.

Something that also keeps me from joining these things is that a lot of people I knew in school or in the past, I am glad not to be around anymore. It may sound mean! But I don't like being available to be contacted by everyone who has ever known me and their moms. :P I am still in touch with the people I want to be in touch with, in other ways.

I can see using it to keep in touch with family and close friends that are far away. But still the issue of being found by annoying people makes me not want to do it. Or if I did it, I would not want people to be able to search for me unless I wanted them to find me. Not that I had a crazy past at all, but some people are better left in the past.

Methinks she doth protest too much... ;) (j/k Stina :P )

I suppose for me, 4,000 miles is enough of a distance not to worry about annoying classmates getting in touch then turning up on my doorstep. At least, I hope so.

It's also a great non-confrontational way to tell people that you have no interest in speaking with them...deny their friend request.

That's true! I still live in the same town that I graduated H.S. in. I don't want to make it even easier for people to get in touch with me! :P I may sound really mean right now, but just the other day I bumped into a girl at walmart that I hadn't seen in awhile, who is just wacko and doesn't stop talking once she starts. It's people like that who scare me away from it.

Because I know my friends who have a myspace, everyone has found them, people they had forgotten about, people they never wished to hear from again, somehow they are always found! LOL

Maybe once I move out of state I won't feel so paranoid about it.

And even if people who drove me crazy wanted me to add them as a friend, I'd feel bad denying their request. lol

I don't use Facebook, Faceparty, MySpace, or any other such "social networking" site.

1) They're annoying

2) Can't stand kids, and all of them are 80% kids

3) MySpace=EVIL Who wants music blasting every time you open a page?

4) My web/graphic designer side won't allow me to go anywhere THAT ugly.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.
