I believe right now the record belongs to somebody on this forum who got married 2 hours after the fiancé arrived. They went from the airport straight to the county office to sign the papers.

The only way to top that now is to get married at the airport. You can get an ordained officiant to meet you at the airport and administer the wedding vows right there with the guy or gal as they’re coming out of customs. That’ll be one heck of a day because you’ll be coming from “Sir, are you bringing any fruits or vegetables to the United States?” to: “do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

:rofl::rofl:

We went directly from the airport to downtown Seattle during Friday rush hour traffic and just made it in time to the county clerk office and applied for, and obtained, our marriage license with 10 minutes to spare! 😅. YMMV :lol:

BTW, your K1 visa was invalidated by the CBP officer at your POE as you entered the USA.

A literal cross-border couple might be able to beat it with a land crossing? Though I don't think any offices here in San Diego county do walk-ins, so I'm not sure about doing it from TJ ... :lol:

I arrived on the 12th which is 6working today and we want to do our wedding ceremony in 2days time. I was just told it may be too early and it may affect my process on the adjustment of status procedure for k1.

Please, I will like to know if its advisable to get married right away or should I wait for some more days. And how long?

That's not a problem getting married right away because you have within 90 days to get married and adjust your status and file the OAS adjustment of status forms. Also get down to your social security office NOW and apply for your ss card now because after your I-94 expires you'll have to wait until you get a green card. It takes usually 1 to 2 weeks to get your social security card. Congrats on getting married and hope you enjoy your life here!!!
