Petty?  Hardly.  I don't know many men who would be happy with their ex taking advantage of them after a divorce.  I know I darn sure wouldn't.  Especially if she was already taking my money via the courts.

How is it really taking advantage though? He's paying the same amount if I use it or not, as @Steeleballz points out. There's no increased charge to him.

If he changes his password, I'll subscribe myself.

He's petty enough to try it, definitely. I guess he'd send me an invoice on his personal stationery!

It is legal to share a Netflix account. Their TOS states you need to be in the same household but they also acknowledge they generally don't enforce that as policy as long as they don't detect abuse. He should have either changed the passwords, asked you to split the bill, or told you not to use it.

Thank you. He deleted my profile but did not tell me not to use the app. There is another profile on there which I'd known for a long time was rarely if ever used by a friend so I just started using that one. (What can I say, I'm nosy. I know what my ex watches, all however many seasons of Skins and the Great British Bake Off 🙄.) If he'd had any sense he would have changed the password but I never said he was smart, just well off. 😊

T-Mobile works great for me.  Plus they pay for my Netflix monthly.  Plus I get free data in about 200 countries (minus Cuba).  All for less than $80 per month.  Glad I left Verizon...

Free data in the PI?

You are paying $80 a month. Why do you call it "free" data. More like there are no additional charges for data use.

Free data and text, call prices vary by country.  The PI is $0.25 per minute.  Free calls to the US/CAN/MEX.

I mostly use WhatsApp for calls and text nowadays, and those are free using data.

I found with Verizon, when I am on wifi in the PI I can make and receive calls free. I bet you knew that already. Scott told me last time I was there. RIP

You can make free wifi calls to the US.  But wifi calls inside the PI are pricey, no?

When using Verizon,  and staying in Korea a couple of years ago, 3-4 calls to the PI from Korea cost us over $800 extra.  We learned the hard way what "free wifi calling" meant to Verizon.

I pay $80 for service in the US.  When I go abroad, it is free.  See?

So my ex pays $16 a month for Netflix in his apartment in LA, but when I stream in Berkeley, it is free. 😁

(Just kidding.)

Do you not have to pay the $80 a month when you are abroad? If you don't, then it's free data. Otherwise it's a feature included in your monthly service. Not giving you a hard time. I know everyone markets "free" this way but it's not. Try to walk into a chain restaurant, lets say Olive Garden and ask for their free bread sticks without buying a meal. They are not really free. Neither is your data.

Anyway, I actually like T-Mobile. I had a $35 plan that was unlimited data. I think the first 5gb was high speed and it lowered after that. Only worked in the USA. That was back before "unlimited" plans were very common. Overall it was a good deal at the time, but I rarely used more than 1gb a month, so it wasn't a good deal for me. If I actually used my cell phone for anything, I'd probably go back to T-Mobile.

You people with your fancy cellphone plans. Only thing that works around these parts for cell is ATT, but sometimes I only get 1 bar in my house. >_<

I'm not even sure if my cell phone works in my house. Still use the land line at home.

Half the time I have to leave the landline off the hook to even get the internet to function. ''High-open'' is a ridiculous problem Verizon refuses to fix.
